Master of Education in Special Education Autism

The Master of Education with Specialization in Autism degree is designed to prepare professionals from various disciplines to serve children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The specialization area is designed to be part of a Master’s degree program in either Teacher Leadership or Special Education and participants must meet the admission requirements for each program respectively.

The specialization track is specifically for individuals who are interested in adding an additional specialization to their professional area of teaching. Students are required to complete 12 hours of coursework specifically related to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of autism. Students will benefit from the same accelerated format that their Master’s degree is based upon.

*Lamar Graduate Education Programs do not permit students to take coursework for transient credit.
