Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership

The Master of Education in Educational Administration degree is designed to prepare students for professional careers in school leadership. The purpose of these degrees and certifications is to prepare students for organizational leadership and decision-making, the design and implementation of instruction for student achievement, management of the organization and its operations, human resource development, and building parent involvement and community support.

A baccalaureate degree is required for admission. GPA and GRE scores are a major consideration for admission. Candidates must meet graduate college requirements and be accepted by the department graduate committee.

Program Length

36 Hours

Students are required to apply directly to the doctoral office. The College of Graduate Studies will only accept applications from doctoral students once they are accepted into the doctoral program.

Program Start Dates

Each online cohort begins in the Spring of each academic year.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 31 of the preceding year.  For example, the deadline to apply for spring 2015 is Oct. 31, 2014.
